Nothing is Permanent

Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven.  Matthew 6:19-21

When you go on vacation to visit any neighbouring state or international country. You know that you are staying at is temporary. You carry only essential things like clothes and personnel stuff.

Why are you then storing the wealth and materials on the earth, when you know, you are not permanent here?

My colleague was rushing to attend his cousin’s funeral service, but could not attend, his passport was due for renewal.

He was incredibly sad and depressed and deeply hurt to hear about his cousin who died, who was the youngest in the family. She was an aspiring doctor and was preparing to appear for the final semester.

But tragedy struck her, due to medical negligence, and a promising life just became prey to a deadly sting.

She developed a toothache and recommended a root canal process. As a normal procedure, administered under local anesthesia. She developed complications after post-surgery, and she was rushed to the hospital.

The reports revealed that she was affected by an infection that she developed during an extra dose of anesthesia and due to an allergy to medicines.

Within a few weeks, her lungs stopped responding, and she became susceptible to COVID-19 and passed away.

It was a simple process of dentistry that led to a tragic end.

Life does not have a warranty that you can live for 60 years or 80 years.

We must leave this world one day; you do not have a guarantee that you will see tomorrow.

The choice is yours! Start laying up for yourselves treasures in heaven.

In Christ..!!
